INFRA Technology announces investment decision to build a 100 barrels per day Gas-to-Liquids plant

INFRA Technology, an innovation-based company, commercializing its proprietary GTL technology, is pleased to announce that it has made investment decision to build a modular compact transportable GTL plant, producing 100 barrels per day of synthetic oil from natural gas.

INFRA’s proprietary high-productivity Fischer-Tropsch catalyst allows to produce synthetic oil - liquid light hydrocarbon mixture without waxes – straight out of Fischer-Tropsch reactor. As a result, INFRA’s process eliminates cumbersome and capital-intensive hydrocracking and upgrading stages. INFRA’s technology reduces capital and process operating costs several fold, making GTL/XTL technology not only economically viable, but cost competitive with oil refining.

“INFRA’ technology can become a game changer by reducing price gap between oil and natural gas to the cost of GTL conversion. – says Valery Balikoev, President of INFRA. “It would also allow to monetize associated and shale gas reservoirs since it makes even small-scale and transportable GTL units economically feasible, and unlock the value of stranded remote and offshore gas fields as the simplified technology flowsheet results in a relatively straightforward scale-up.”

The GTL plant should demonstrate operational performance and attractive economics of INFRA’s technology.

The company has selected Infinity Project Management, Inc. in Tyler, Texas, to complete detailed engineering, and provide procurement and construction management. The project is fully funded by INFRA Technology.

The plant is expected to be operational in 2015.
